Created in September 2000, the Historic Chicago Bungalow Associate (HCBA) is meant to protect the historic homes that have been the cornerstone for families for over a century. The HCBA is here to make sure that the 80,000 one and one-half story homes stay in great condition moving forward. The historic homes of the HCBA represent nearly 1/3rd of the city’s single-family housing stock.
